Graduate Thesis Grant


Graduate Thesis Grant Description:

Graduate students working with a John Jay College thesis advisor/mentor on their graduate thesis can be funded up to $1000.00. Students receiving this grant are strongly encouraged to share their thesis during the spring Graduate Research Symposium. 

NOTE: Not all applicants will be funded; selection will be based on the criteria articulated below.

Graduate Thesis Grant Review Criteria:

  • Collaborates with a John Jay College faculty member as a mentor/advisor.
  • Works on thesis project
  1. Title of thesis project
  2. Name and email of thesis supervisor   
  3. Thesis project abstract (150 words)
  • Answers the following questions: 1.  how the pandemic has impacted you and your academic career; 2. how the funds will contribute to achieving academic goals and career goals; 3. how the funds will be used
  •  Submits the completed application on time via google form
  •  Attends a pre application workshop
